Young Advisor Of LewishamÂ
I have been deeply involved in impacting my local. In this role I have understood the importance of giving young people the chance to support their development and confidence in youth activism for their community. I have been a key part of launching projects for young people in the borough for example the bank of things which provides toiletries and stationary to young people and radio lewisham which allows young people to show off their skills and expresses their ideas to people across south east london. This has given me first hand experience in working alongside young people to create youth led innovative projectsÂ
Child Poverty Action Group
My participation in the child poverty action group as a CPAG panel member has opened my perspective on the socio-economic challenges that young people face within society. One of the campaigns we looked at was the ‘cost of the school day’ and how much families were spending on school uniforms, equipment and extracurricular activities. We presented our findings to the education leaders at the rethinking education conference in 2022 and 2023. This reinforces my commitment to advocating for equitable opportunities and supporting vulnerable individuals.Â

London Youth GamesÂ
My work as the LYG33 workforce lead Specifically focus on engaging young people from diverse and minority backgrounds to partake in volunteering in sports opportunities. I co- led a team of young people to carry out surveys and interviews to improve the foundation's volunteering program. In the team I worked with young people who had disabilities. I worked with the young people directly and staff members to ensure we provided them as many reasonable adjustments so they could access the work we're doing effectively
Project 9.0
Project 9.0 is a CIC that looks at ending child homelessness by 2035. My role in this organisation has been to help with communication and overall coordination for the organisation in addition i led on the school champions program. This is where I created and delivered workshops at schools to allow students to take part in the camping and spread the message within their school on child homeless Â
